What Is Team Americano?
Team Americano keeps partners fixed while rotating opponents. You and your chosen partner stay together for the entire tournament, competing as a team against every other pair. Scoring is cumulative per team — the pair with the highest combined total wins.
This variant appeals to established doubles partnerships who want to test their chemistry against a range of opponents. Unlike <classicAmericano>Classic Americano</classicAmericano> where individual skill determines the outcome, Team Americano rewards coordination, shared strategy, and the ability to adapt your game plan match by match.

Opponent Rotation
Every round, each team faces a different opposing team. The rotation schedule ensures that every possible matchup occurs before any team faces the same opponents twice. With 4 teams, this means 3 rounds for a complete round-robin; with 8 teams, 7 rounds cover all combinations.
If the number of teams is odd, one team receives a bye each round. The generator distributes byes evenly so no team sits out more than once before all others have also rested.
